Have had to use the A7 special on shopping duties as our modern has decided following our return from holiday to kill its battery. So we sent Amy and my teenage son to hunt down a battery. All fixed now but less time in the shed today working on the old stuff due to unreliable modern. On the plus side it did need a test drive so went and collected some parts from storage at my parents and now have a pile more bits ready for the new engine build

That’s looking much better but it seems to be a very small aperture mesh… 0.5 mm wire with a 1.8 hole is what I use IIRC

Steve, if road imperfections at 30psi worry your, you should try beaded edge tyres at 50psi, particularly round bumpy corners with no shockers...

Run my Ruby on Longstone’s at 28psi and have no issues, tried lower pressures but the steering felt very heavy, much better at 28??

Took the Seven into Bala for some shopping, then over to Llanuwchlyyn to get some chick crumbs (Leon has some day old chicks that have just hatched). Then I took the car up to the forest at the top of Bwlch-yr-Eira to give Llew The Motoring Dog a walk and then back to feed the horses. About twenty miles covered in all.

Howard, a bit to the South of yourself it is raining vigorously at the moment. Power tools and washing had to be swiftly taken inside.

I love that hood Howard, it gives a very period aspect. However I'd be a bit concerned about blasts from oncoming HGV size vehicles. Is there any way you could curve it down towards the pretty windscreen corners with a stay?
