My 65 has some ordinary carpet on its floor and transmission tunnel. This has been fitted pretty well but doesn't look right. I have an idea that the car was fitted originally with rubber mats. Is my thinking correct and does anyone know what style of rubber matting was used?

They were, indeed, rubber mats; from memory three pieces - two floor mats and one for the prop-shaft tunnel. They were basically special versions of the Ruby mats, with a moulded border pattern.

Many thanks Mike. If anyone has a photo of a Ruby mat I'd be very interested.

Am I right that the tunnel ones are no longer available?

You're correct, they're not I'm afraid.

Hello
I am just about to attempt making my own Ruby floor covering.
Hoping to use 3mm castle profile rubber
Anyone had a go at this ?
