Mini Bench Seats

Hi guys,

I've got a '38 Chassis in my garage (single birth and in need of much reorganising before I can actually do anything with it!).
I'm planning on making it into a special (super accessories 750 body) and had read somewhere that
one option for seating is to use the back bench seat from an original Mini.
Is this true; and if so is any modification required to fit them?

In my pile of "might be useful" bits for another project I've got a set of seats from an Austin A40 that became a rally car. I thought they looked period. Currently grey but that's easy to change. An example:

On of the finishing off jobs for my Austin 7 (raced 20 years ago, mothballed since children took over) is to trim to size seats from a London black cab I got from a scrap yard in the early 90s, again very traditional construction with sewn stuffed flutes. Okie dokie,

Located my copies of Chris Gould's books and found the information based on his 'imp' special which uses a standard width base (with foam in middle cutaway to fit over prop tunnel) and the back is trimmed to a width of 35".

Looking at the mini forums it seems some use the back seats (bucket seat type) from a couple of 90s cars that could be an option with an option and give a bit of support as well.

Hope this could be useful to other builders and is something I will be attempting when I [eventually] get round to restoring the chassis and building the body.
