Oil leak

Moving the car around yesterday 
Noticed a big oil leak near the front of engine
On closer inspection only seen from the underneath of engine
It appears to be from the joint between nose cone and block
Could it just be that joint or more sinister
This joint was carefully made when engine was assembled 
Surprise to see such a big leak

When running how much oil would you expect in this chamber?

The cam bush retaining peg/bolt can leak quite a lot if not seated/sealed correctly.

I will have a closer look after cleaning down
Very difficult to see that area and not to keen to remove or partly remove engine

What about the felt seal behind the fan pulley? if that starts to spin in its housing it can loose a lot of oil. I had to change mine last year. Worth cleaning the area thoroughly then running the engine for a couple of minutes to see what appears.

After a clean down myself and friend could not see any signs of leak other than on the lowest joint
as before.
Looks like a strip down of the front and radiator out.
Not sure how far I could get away with lifting the engine to reseal nose joint??

The nosecone can be removed without lifting the engine, simply leave the very bottom bolt partially in it’s hole and feed it out past the chassis.

Having removed the Dynamo radiator hoses and front bodywork ll can see that Peter was spot on.
The seal behind the fan pulley is the culprit
The felt was new when assembled so any advice to stop a repeat leak.

I glue mine into the housing, then grease the inside of the felt before fitting the pulley.
