I always use 421s from Alpha Batterires
https://www.alpha-batteries.co.uk/6v-421...r-battery/ Never had any problems with them - first class service.

+1 from me. Probably the best price available at present.

Hi Guys, thanks for the heads up, guess I should have really asked is , what battery are you using ? and for how long. I bought a battery about 3 years ago, cant remember brand, but it really doesn't perform as expected. hence looking to replace.

When I was looking I posted some comparisons here: austinsevenfriends.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?tid=6538, although of course the prices may have changed a bit in the three months since.
I went for the Exide in the end, from Batteries and Solar.. A little more expensive than the Alpha but a slightly better spec. Watch the shipping prices!

Must say I'm leaning towards the Exide, has good reviews, but still would like more ideas.
If you want a classic looking battery made in the UK try Lincoln batteries: https://www.lincon.co.uk/classic_car_batteries.html
Or see if Yuasa make a suitable 6V. (and you can find a supplier that sells one at a discounted price): https://www.yuasa.co.uk/batteries/automo...eries.html Cheers Mike

Hello,
For more than thirty years I have been using Bosch batteries for my RP 1934 which fit into my battery box when the two side rails are sligthly removed (at your own risk!) Each battery has lasted for more than 7 years. Bosch 0 092 S30 600, EAN 4047024437708. During the winter months the battery is connected to a CTEK Battery Charger XC 0.8. Works perfectly well.
