What was the original finish on the inside (under the bonnet) of the standard chrome radiator shell 1932-1934? I'm thinking that it was a lightly sprayed coat of gloss black paint, am I correct?
Also, was the inside of the 4-piece louvred bonnet originally finished in body colour or black?

No idea about the Rad shell, Mick but I would think that the inside of the bonnet was probably body colour, purely from the difficulty in trying to paint two different colours either side of the louvred panels.

Those I have seen including the inside of a louvered bonnet where originality seemed likely were all low gloss black, I have also seen body number painted on the inside of a bonnet. However I have only seen a small snap shot of unrestored cars and it is possible that there were some variations over the years of production.
