Tony Johns has sent me this photo taken at the VSCC's 50th Anniversary meeting at Malvern. Two 1929 RF fabric saloons - anyone recognise them? The black one is registered VB 6428, and the blue one is RP 6xxx. Is anyone planning to trailer their Seven to next year's Centenary rally behind an Alvis 12/50?

Two more images from Tony, this time from the Shelsley Walsh meeting' The first has another black RF fabric saloon in the foreground, with the nose of a red Nippy visible a few cars down the line, whilst the second shows a 1928 chummy, RX 2042, which I can identify as Simon Holder's car:

I regularly tow my Amilcar (and various racing Austins in the past) to meetings with my 12/60 Alvis.

Only just spotted this post. VB 6428 is now mine and it will be at the centenary all being well. At some point in the last 40 years it has lost the sunshield above the windscreen.

We lost the one off our RK too - Andrew Goodfellow made me another. Let me know if you don't know how to contact him.

Nice to see an early picture of RX 2042. Simon’s had that car for a long time and it was always the star of the show at Autokarna driving tests back in the day with his big dog Ben I think his name was in the back of the car
