I don't believe Swallows had that plate, Jon. My understanding is that William Lyons purchased chassis from Longbridge, and therefore they were not Austin property. The plates were fitted to Gordon England and Mulliner cars because these were sold through the Austin dealer system and the coachbuilders did not pay for the chassis up-front - hence the need to declare the chassis was the property of the Austin Motor Co in case the coachbuilder was made bankrupt.
