What have you done today with your Austin Seven
Other than today (rain stops play), this weekend I have been messing with the new to me chummy. Drove it home 10 miles from the shed. And we have been out and about a little, came to the conclusion the brakes were really awful, and made some improvements to them.

Cleaned up the side screens and fitted them, they are a bit yellow, but fine.

It goes very well

Hunted out options for the Austin script for the radiator (looks naked to me without one!)

Broken original vs broken Repro = No bloody good. But the original is so much nicer.

So did some more hunting.

What a cracking looking Chummy.

Are you building an A7 museum Hedd? You’ve only got a few more to have the set!

LOL, I have had 5 before. 'The plan' is to finish with 3.

Mrs Jones made me chuckle, she said if we divorced now, we could have a chummy, a saloon and a steamer each!.

He’d, do you have three saloons, then? I thought that TH was your daughter’s.

The double knurled plunger is the main plunger Tony, my previuos photo may be misleading as the pipe has been through 180 degrees to allow the assembly to be installed 180 degrees from original so I have the reserve in the cab where it can be grabbed if the need arises. Those O rings were advertised in a club magazine and are still on the internet I don't advise their use because by the time you have crushed them up to stop leakage you can't move the taps.

painted a block and zeebrited a head.
Wonder if zebriting a block would work for long, as its such a lovely translucent finish.

It works well on the smomebox of my steamer, so should do well on a head

Today I got my chassis rolling! It's going to be a trials special with a 'solid mount' coil engine and 3-speed gearbox. Most of the mechanical components are from spares I have had from building my other car or careful/slow purchases mostly as part of job lots that I have resold the rest of.

Is that actual Zebrite Jon? Or one of the substitutes. I've not seen it for years so assume it's no longer produced.
It works well on exhaust manifolds, and gets re-applied perhaps once a year (or more specifically, when I clean the car, which isn't often!)
