Chassis extensions Ruby Mk1

Now the body is off the chassis "looks" OK, apart from the N/S chassis extension.
Is that the right name for the bit rivetted on that comes up over the axle to rest the rear body on and holds the fuel tank?
The O/S side is in much better condition but is still heavily pitted.
Much wire brushing about to start......

Are there replacements available? Can you strengthen them and reuse if there is enough good metal left?

With the number of Ruby chassis that have had their extensions chopped off by special builders, I would try a wanted ad here, you may get a decent pair for buttons!
