Some years ago someone produced the elliptical shaped badge. This had an enamel blue background and white enamel England on the badge.
These no doubt turned up on a number of replica G.E. Cup model Austin 7's.

The badge shown on the Gordon England Cup in the book, "Original Austin Seven", shows an oval/elliptical badge, although this does not show any sign of paint. The caption should read fitted under the passengers door, not the drivers door.
Perhaps someone has redesigned the badge so that the map of England with all the patent numbers can fit easier.
So many of these cars have been re-produced that an original one was hard to find when compiling the book ?

Does that suggest it was fitted on the passenger side only?
