I have noticed that in the last few years the number of suppliers of automotive wiring attending shows/autojumbles/etc has dwindled away to almost nothing. At the NEC last weekend there was not a single supplier specialising in wiring. Maybe the sheer volume and weight of stock to cater for the market makes it a no-no?
Far as I can see, for braided wiring there is really only Green Spark Plug Co, Autosparks, and Auto Electric Supplies. Any other suppliers you would recommend?

Autosparks provided a very nicely made wiring loom for an MG PA which I fitted for a friend. Will be getting one for a series Landrover shortly.

Tim Hodgekiss was at the NEC (Vintage Motor Spares). His stand was exclusively dedicated to switches, cable, fittings etc.

And AES run by old car people Matt and Rachael Blake are also excellent. However, make sure you contact AES in Tenbury Wells and not AES in Wakefield who specialise in commercial vehicle electrics.

Hi Nick
I believe The Seven Workshop and A7 Components stock braided cable. I’ve use AES before and The Complete Automobilist.

Thanks for the input. I was really interested to find out why there are no suppliers with reasonably extensive stock attending big events like NEC and Beaulieu Autojumbles etc. To buy on the day, fitments are always plentiful but wire itself is not.
It's also interesting that a Google search yields almost nothing beyond the retailing companies already mentioned and wholesalers seem almost non-existent. Maybe it's just a very limited demand in the market place?

I've bought from Autosparks at Beaulieu (Autojumble) before, Nick. But to be fair, I may have pre-ordered. Wire always comes in handy, so I bought a couple of reels of different weights which I keep on the shelf..
