Hi,
I have been running my Type 65 on motorbike rear tyres for a few years now.
I normally use 350 x 19 Avon SM
I also have some Dunlop 3.25 x 19 K70 which drop the gearing a little bit
I use the car for speed hillclimbs and road use
So it is no problem using motorbike tyres on a lightweight Austin 7.

Out of interest, just how easy is it to change tyres?

Depends on the tyre, its age, the levers you use and your skill/experience level

When my tame tyre fitter changed FG's tyres a few weeks ago, the old Avons, which had probably been on for 50 years were quite stiff and unwilling to come off. The new Mitas tyres, by contrast were so supple that they went onto the rims with hand pressure only.

Tyres on 19 rims are not to bad to do
Trick is to remove the valve completely
Then brake the tyre bead from the rim 
kneel on tyre 180 from were 
You use the levers this pushes tyre into
Wheel rim and makes it éasyer to get off 
Only pull small parts of bead at a time?
Have been doing motor cycle tyres for 
50 years think the practise has made
It a lot simpler for me!

19" tyres can fitted without the need for levers at all, correct technique, french chalk and they will simply walk on and much less risk of pinching the tube too, never managed to remove them without some use of levers though! As Spanner man says practice makes perfect
