TV production company seeks Chummy to buy
#21
I transported a one owner Ruby for a television programme by James May a few years ago. Having unloaded it from my trailer and demonstrated driving it, James showed me that he could also drive it reasonably. I left it with the TV team and arranged to collect it the next day. Obviously the film crew did not have any sympathy for the age and structure of the car. When I collected it one running board was curved well down where someone had used it as their means of rear access probably for a camera man. No one knew anything about it of course. I learned that in such a situation each person involved in any use of the vehicle needs specific instruction about the care to be taken. I would be reluctant to lend or sell for any price a car which is to be used in commercial filming.

Yes Bluebird, it’s an Austin Ten Open Road Tourer, my guess is 1936.
