The 1929 Chummy formerly owned by Neill Bruce (with less than 20,000 miles) has orange glass. It also still has silver paint on the engine bolts.

Is the 'orange' glass the result of failing early Triplex safety glass ?

What a lovely find - the difficulty is wether to just leave it or restore sufficiently to use.

If it were up to me I would subject it to a deep clean an a programme of careful preservation, but enough so it could be reliable transport, after all, what’s the point of having a car if you can’t drive it!

I'm with you Ivor. Would be a delight to be made mechanically sound and safe to drive - and the rest preserved, as is.

I've been approached by the Automobile magazine to pen a few words on the car under their " Finds and Discoveries ". 
Hopefully it will be in the next, January?, edition.
