Brake Pedal ratio.
#1
I'm fitting Morris Minor 7" brakes to my Austin Seven Special. As I understand it, the Morris has a 13/16" diameter master cylinder.
Can anyone with a similar set-up please let me know what the correct pedal ratio is?

Also, are there any modern type track rod ends available that will fit the Austin drag link in place of the original type? i.e. with the same taper.

Thank you.

Hi Mike. Small ford spares sell the ford ones most commonly used on Austin Seven specials. There are others so probably easiest if you post a picture. On the brake ratio there's a post on here somewhere I think with a photo of the instructions that came with one make of hydraulic brake kit. I  think that gives the distance required for the lug for the push rod.

Lots of info here, but you probably need a page from Williams specials book.

It's more common to add a lug and put the cylinder in front of the pedal rather than as described here (you'll know why if you ever owned an A35). It would make sense for the distance up from the fulcrum should be the same.to maintain the same mechanical advantage.
