Daisy, if you are considering modern purples for the paint for your van you might want to consider the purple used on MGBs, Marinas , and Minis etc called "BLACK TULIP". It is a non metallic colour that is rich and vibrant and should be still listed in your auto paint supplier's catalog for the mixing information.
