Good evening all, I am a comlete duffer where electrics are concerned and need some help. The switch on my 7 diintegrated and the only replacement I could get is one without the charging options - before I remove the many wires from the original switch can somone please explain what they work. I have diagram in a Pitman`s book but while the terminals have various codes allocated to them it doesn`t explain what they actually do, any help greatly appreciated.

Thank you all very much, things are beginning to make sense to my poor befuddled mind now. I tried to look at a wiring diagram in the Ptman`s book but had the same problem as I do with maps, a kind of dyslexia whereby I can`t make out where the wires go. David Cochrane of A7 Spares also suggested coupling the "summer" charging wires together but I intend fitting the two circuits to switches so that I can go from one to the other should the need arise. Thanks again, I`m really grateful to all. Hazel

Just one caveat...if you were thinking of taking the switch apart then put it in a plastic bag first and keep your fingers crossed. Remember you heard it first on here.

I am fairly sure I can find a new old stock PLC 2 if you’re interested
