Hi, Quite new to A7 ownership and I'm in the need for a new throttle cable.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
The car is is a Gould Ulster with a HS2 SU fitted.
Thanks in advance

I think I used one from a Morris Minor 1000.
Another thought. I don't know where you are but you would do well to look at a similar car. If you are anywhere near Cambridge you are welcome to look at mine. Don't be surprised to find that Gould Ulsters are all different. They each incorporate the constructors ideas, and get further developed over the years.

If it's a Gould Ulster it will most likely have been improvised by whoever built it, and you may have to do the same.
Unless you can ID the cable you have by means of a part number, you'll have to find something which can be made to fit.
Inners and outers can both be shortened if you find something close.
There are firms which will make cables to order at a price, otherwise it's a question of rummaging through second hand cables or finding something on eBay with suitable dimensions.
Is your cable broken? End fittings can often be re-soldered or replaced with screw clamp fittings.

I suspected as much.
Thanks for the offer but I'm in darkest Staffordshire.
?
Cable not broken but very frayed causing the throttle to stick.
Down to the local motor factors I guess
Thanks

The local cycle shop may be a better bet.

Maybe a new cycle brake cable inner adapted to fit your outer?

Thanks for all the replies.
A mini throttle cable is winging its way to me.
