Using American Austin Parts
#1
It seems I have 4 American Austin cylinder blocks. Now I know that they are for the most part ,a mirror image of the real Austin stuff.

Has anyone put one on a Ruby case? It looks like if you just flip it around, it would line up.

I know the cases are different...

Obviously the manifolding is different, but I think the block can be turned round. I suggest offering up UK gaskets against the block faces after turning it round. If all the holes line up I can't think of a reason not to use the american block. I am not there to do any measurements but I will be interested to read what other contributors may think.

interesting the one I have here is 10 stud but otherwise identical to Austin. I would have used it but 1 cylinder required sleeving.
