Old (modern) Voltage Regulator Identification
#1
We have this old (modern) voltage regulator which was removed from an A7 special. Unfortunately we have no note of the wiring connections. Please can someone with a similar regulator tell me the wiring connections? Does anyone recognise this device? Thank you!

Matt,
it is a J.G. conversion by Dave Lindsley unit.

Yes, a "JG 12 Volt Electronic Regulator" from the early 1980's.
But is it a positive or a negative type? Both were available.

Make sure that you earth the case, I made an error when I refitted mine on my timber bodied marine special. No output until I gave it an earth return.

Presume nothing! It may mean negative charge.

Are there any other markings on the case?

Treat it with care because they are no longer available.
