My Ruby July 36 had the lozenge front brakes and matching front axle beam which were correct and semi girling brakes on the rears which were not, I changed over to semi girling all round, which involved new axle, radios arms stub axles etc and would not be “correct” for this model so the next owner will no doubt be similarly confused.

I wouldn't worry about it unduly. My RP has had a semi-Girling front end on it ever sinced I acquired it in the 1980s. OK it's not original but the radius arms are stronger and the brakes are better, and only the purists and rivet counters would be bothered.
