The quality of artist really deteriorated through the 'thirties, didn't it? That looks like a cross between a Ford Model Y and a Standard Eight!

Yes - it looks wrong everywhere - angle of cowl, location of sidelight on wing, shape of wings, wheel rims and centres, shape of windows, size of rear window etc etc - though previously published 'artists impressions' - including the 1934 Ruby were often at least 'stretched'.

Clearly, the artist was inspired by taking the very best of contemporary grey porridge and constructing a composite. At least they didn't go the early diesel route (don't panic, I'll take this one down in a while....)

A collage of golf course and beaches. Not a sign of Brooklands banking, or the Lawns at Prescott. Perhaps looking at the date there is a motor sport connection. The lady driver is calling out "Hallo darling, we're back. The kids so enjoyed the journey in the very spacious back of the car. Only three days to get home from the Montenero Circuit. It was so much fun to watch Tuffanelli win the Coppa Ciano in his Maserati. Now I'd better get home and put the kettle on."

But - how did you possibly know? It's even better, she's actually just arrived back from Monaco - the proof is in the same issue. If you look carefully, you can even see the Ruby parked at the side of the track.
