I have been going through some old family photos and came across this, which was a long dead uncle's pride and joy. I estimate it dates to the early thirties. Can any of our cognoscenti identify it please?

I can't help thinking it's a Wolseley Hornet Special, but which maker I have no idea. I am sure someone more knowledgeable than I will confirm or deny. Jack Peppiatt?

Hillman Straight Eight. 2620 cc 58 bhp. Prone to big end failures.
It could be a Vortic model ?

Many thanks for your responses. Having read up on it, I hope for his sake that it was the Vortic variant.
