Since we have got into miicrocars, here is one which I featured in our club magazine some years ago, and described as "Surely the “Austin Seven” of the invalid carriage world". It is a 1922 Carter.
J & A Carter, builders of invalid carriages, wheelchairs and rehabilitation equipment, were
established in London in the 1860s. This electric four-wheeler is powered by three lorry
batteries driving an electric motor mounted over the rear axle and connected by chain to
the differential. Fitted with tiller steering and brakes on the rear wheels only.
