One of the aims of the Jack French Garage Project is to demonstrate to the public from what British motorsport and particularly F1 evolved from fifty odd years ago.
This is exemplified in the building of a replica " Simplicity " which shows how a Seven was modified into a competitive sporting vehicle.
The car will be permanently housed in the garage allowing youngsters to sit in it and " play ". Even if only one in a hundred are inspired into taking up old cars as a hobby it will have achieved its objective.
The formal opening of the Garage will take place at the Atwell-Wilson Museum, Calne, Wiltshire this coming Sunday 21st July at around noon. This coincides with the Bristol A7 Club's annual rally w/e. Roger French, Jack's son, will be in attendance as well as the real Simplicity itself. Everyone welcome.
