If for some reason you can't source one via the cherished suppliers, Allen head or Cap screw bolt will work just fine - make sure you get a hardened one.

hmmm. well I appear to have a bolt there already!
These are the spacings at the ends. I felt it looked imbalanced, but it it an issue... or am I being a bit OCD?

I'm not sure you can tell just by the angles of the shackles. Have you measured between the bolt and the spring eyes? It could be the axle or rather the radius arms that are causing this. How straight are the arms? As for its importance if the car runs in a straight line and feels OK on corners its probably not too critical. Cheers Howard

yes, may be best to sort rear spring imbalance first and then come back to this... but, yes, will look to the other components role, thanks. It drives ok.
