Skimming austin seven drums is not a great idea. Tony Betts has them. By the way Matt I notice that you have not shown the cam facing end of the shoe in your photograph. If you are on Girling shoes ignore below. If you are on the alloy shoes these need to be dead flat for smooth braking - sadly they never are. I do what admittedly is a bodge (but it works) to achieve this. Simply run braze onto the end plate and file flat. The other tip for both types is to ask Saftek to chamfer both ends of your shoes, this increases the power of your brakes. Hope that is useful. |
