I've just purchased the Austin Colours reference book from the Austin Ten Drivers club. This provides info for 1932 onwards

the standard Colours for1932-34 Austin 7 tourers were Opal or Royal Blue

Saloons were available in "light maroon" with listed equivalents

RAL 3005 Rover New Cranberry COX/940 YP43 or

Ford Aporto red XSC2489 U2/ U2489 U2
