Time to change my trailer and looking and the weight of A7 and making sure I cover the special 440kg and RN. Does anyone know the weight of and RN. I found the below on the DA7C which would put the RN at I guess the same ish weight as an RP of 533kg, is that about the right weight?
As Sevens were developed and the length increased, along with all the changes to engines and ancillary equipment, the weight of the cars increased. The Tourer Type AD of February 1926 weighs 8cwt 561bs (406.41 kg). The RP Box Saloon of October 1932 is 10cwt 2qtr (533.42kg) with the Ruby models from July 1934 weighing 12cwt 14lbs (615.97kg). The Big Seven Sixlite of July 1937 is 14cwt 2qtr 201bs (745.70kg); with the Forlite in March 1938 at 14cwt 1qtr (723.92kg).

On page 337 of the Source Book it states that the RN "Saloon De Lux" has a weight of 10cwt 3qrs (547kg).

Don't forget that advertised or handbook weights are either "dry" or at best kerb weights. The average car could be a fair bit heavier; full tank, spare petrol can, a gallon of oil, toolbox, not to mention some luggage. You could move everything into you tow car, but why bother? I would allow a good margin and use a trailer with a payload of at least 20% more than your intended car.

I weighed my 1919 fabric saloon using bathroom scales under each wheel in turn.

My Trials Chummy AD weighed in at 520 Kg with no hood or frame, but twin spare wheels and full tool kit and fuel.

"1919" Austin Seven Saloon? Was that the weight of the drawings, or were the drawing board, pencils and instruments included. And no, this is not intended to provoke an endless discussion about billiard tables. Having said that, has anyone moved a billiard table, and how much do they weigh?

A decent billiards table with a Welsh slate slabs can weigh up to 1400 Kg - so two Austin Sevens.
