Magneto starter dogs
#1
All,

Where can I obtain a new starter dog for a magneto engine. I am fitting a new Barlow crank and the standard dog plain section is to long ( I know this is an issue for Phoenix cranks).

Thanks

I turn mine down slightly - they only need a small amount on material removed.

I have some pictures on the old Forum explaining how to do it but will need to see if I can locate them...

Is this just a problem with magneto engines. Two years ago I fitted a phoenix crank to my Ruby engine (coil ignition). The only difference I found was the starting handle was in a slightly diffrent position when at rest.

John Mason.
Would you believe it "Her who must be obeyed" refers to my Ruby as the toy.
