Ulster Question
#1
Hopefully one of you Ulster specialists can help here.
If a customer specified the wings and running board colour to be other than black, would the wing irons, windscreen irons and the front wing bracing still have beenĀ black?
Thanks.

Do we have anything in the Archive publicity material with colour pictures for the Ulster?

The well-known LAT photo of GO 6302 gives you some possible answers:

This car was Black with Red wings, wheels and upholstery, so the fact that the windscreen irons appear to be black doesn't solve the problem! The front wing brace, however, is clearly the same colour as the wings, and my guess would be that the support irons will also be wing-colour.

The photos we published in 2021B on page 10 of LJ 4831 (a Cream and Green car) would suggest the windscreen irons were black on that car.

Thanks to you both. Very useful. I'm at the Archives next week and will see if we have anything.
Chris.
