To be fair, Chris, that's not *all* that common - if you ignore the M Type in the Montague Motor Museum.... ;o)

If you think Seven valve timing is staid, there is no overlap with the Minor and inlet opens atdc. (However with emisson laws some moderns were similar)
Also 2 brg crank. I wonder if replacements available?

As I alluded to in an earlier post, Bob, Cecil Kimber soon sorted out the cam timing of the early cars and transformed their performance. And new cranks are available but there are plenty of M Types running round with their original cranks. My M Type had a modern crank, but its performance demanded it...
