But have you altered the throttle linkage? As mused upon elsewhere in the forum, is it centre accelerator?

A prudent choice. Otherwise he might be faced with a crank change which would likely prompt overalls. However curing the traditional Morris 8 rear hub oil leak may have threatened his collar.
