When " I were a lad ", in summer we'd often find the foil top pecked open by the blue-tits to get at the cream and in the winter, the milk froze, pushing up out of the bottle top.

Myra's 33 high top van was the milk delivery van in Strathaven until 1953 when the farmer resorted to the horse and cart due to the Suez crisis. It was rescued from a cow barn by John Rooney in 1973 and we restored it in the late 80's. He took the back doors off and filled the bottles from churns in the back. The van with doors open wide serving tea and coffee this time
