Spent some time on the wiring.
Dash board, cut out and Dynamo complete
No lights etc yet.
Dynamo was a rebuilt by professional about 7 months ago.
However not getting any charge.
My ignition light has no resistor but is fitted with a 9v 0.3A bulb recommended through the
forum.
I remember that dynamos can loose their residual magnetism after standing.
Car electrics are 6volt as original other than ignition light.
Any ideas

Hi Tiger
I had a sort of similar problem with the RK. On first fitting of a recon dynamo I got reasonable charge, however quite suddenly a hundred miles or so later nothing. After fiddling with the brushes and particularly the third brush I got a huge 8 amp charge. I think new brushes can sometimes stick a little.
Cheers
Howard
PS Sounds like good progress is being made.

The Search facility should turn up a lot on this. (Note the magnetising advice in the Williams Specials book is confused.)
