I managed to get some copper sheet and made two without problems
Question do you experts out there think it will be OK in copper?
My problem I ask questions that other people don't like?
Like have you got that for an investment or for fun?

I've made proper bushes on the lathe in both bronze and nylon 6 in the past. The nylon ones are on APD reg number ATT 775 if the present owner is on here.
I would say they make a far better job than fannying about trying to slide what it likely to be the wrong thickness sheet in and ending up with bearings not a lot better than what you started with.

Cherished suppliers do turned brass bushes, just check sizes carefully but it'd save a lot of time if the size suits.

Zinc has the advantage of some anti seize properties and for those of us where such things matter is how the cars were done originally. I my experience if you use the correct thickness Zinc they are easy to make fit well and work perfectly, but what do I know you only need to look at my cars to see I am a bodger.

The bushes that go between the two shafts are available from the usual suppliers however the zinc bushes in the chassis for some reason have to be made, I was given a small sheet from our local plumbing supplies. It would be good if someone would manufacture these bushes.
Cheers
