hi all the log book for my 7 says the cc is 885 ,,they diidnt even make this cc ?? my thought are that dvla are ripping drivers of with a higher cc engine for taxation purposes ?? right along any vehicles,,i know mine is a 750 or is it anyone know ?? i know these are tax free ,but rip of britain ,,thanks keith

At the time the registration records were computerised it was only a few years after the Mini was introduced, when the Austin version was badged as a Seven, so the keyboard operators saw Seven and assumed it was an 850cc Mini, although that doesn't explain an 885cc entry! Another problem was the programmers could only cater for a limited number of colours, so an orange car would be entered as red, and a purple as blue, cream would be white and beige was brown, and so on.
