This interesting and stunning Austin Seven Special is based on an Austin 7 Chassis from 1930. The styling is related to racecars such as Amilcar, Bugatti and others. There is an extensive english race history from Silverstone, Donnington and Wiscombe Park, before the car was sold to California, USA in 1990. The new owner, Dr. Greg Johnson invested lots of money to get the car perfectly restored to an outstanding level and used the racer at Monterey, Laguna Seca and other events. He also took the car to Pebble Beach, California and won first prize in his class at the world famous Concours de`Elegance.
In 2004 the car was sold by a wellknown auctioneer to a collector in Germany. The actual owner did recently a big service and small repairs and upgrades. Included in the package are some spare engines, special tools and gearboxes as well as a set of wire wheels. The documented history includes articles in SPORTS CAR INTERNTIONAL oct.1995 and BRITISH CAR april 2001.
A special technical report from 2012 decribes and explaines the mechanical specification and upgrades. This beautiful monoposto racer has German ownership papers and is located in my showroom in Muenster, Germany.
