Hi All,
Just received my policy documents from RH Insurance and noticed that there was no agreed value figure, just market value.
Having had insurance with RH since 2007, I had previously had an agreed value validated by A7 Club and agreed with RH.
Spoke to RH and they tell me they cannot see previous records before 2022 ( presumably when the change to A-Plan was made). Looking at last years documents, it appears not to have an agreed value either!
Anyone else had this issue with RH?
Many thanks
Chris

I thought I had agreed value but on the renewal paperwork just received it only shows on one of my cars. I am waiting to talk to them.

Hi Chris,
As discussed, due to the operational transfer of the day-to-day running of the RH scheme during 2023 from ERS (the Insurer) to A-Plan (which necessitated the transfer of data for circa 28,000 clients between separate IT platforms) this sometimes resulted in vehicles' insured status defaulting to market.
This is why we speak to all clients at point of renewal to verify the information we were provided with by ERS is accurate and up to date. We also encourage clients to check their documentation carefully once they have renewed so that any amendments can be made.
In your case, I understand you noticed the error on your schedule (possibly just after your renewal) last year but didn't report it to us at that time.
Today I was made aware that you thought your Austin Seven had previously been insured on an Agreed as opposed to Market Value basis by my colleague, Caera, this morning. I immediately emailed ERS on your behalf and asked them to confirm whether or not your Austin Seven had previously been insured on an Agreed or Market Value basis whilst they held your data. They confirmed it was the former and I therefore asked Caera to contact you, offer an apology, and ensure the insured status was updated to Agreed with immediate effect.
I trust this explanation provides some clarity, and comfort, around our approach to resolving issues for our clients.
If anyone else has a query regarding any aspect of their cover they are welcome to email me direct.
My email address is emma.airey@rhspecialistinsurance.co.uk.
Kind regards,
Emma

I would like to thank Emma for explaining the reasons why this occurred and for reinstating my agreed value going forward.
I have always had very good service from RH in the past, I don't know whether this level of service would be forthcoming from other classic insurers.
If there are other Austin 7 members insured with RH and not sure if their agreed values have been carried over from the past years to maybe check and contact Emma as described in her post.
Thanks again!
