Thanks for all the help and advice on oil leak and radiator repair.
Back together now and so far oil and water tight !
My original problem with dynamo (no charge ) needs fixing.
So I have decided to get professional help.
Vince Leek’s name appears to crop up some time ago.
Can anyone advise whether he is still in business?
Or other recommendations
Regards
Tim

The last time I spoke with him (late last year) he did suggest he was thinking of retirement as his eyesight problems were affecting him working. You can contact him using

Would i be correct in saying that if the battery is fully charged then the charge rate on the gauge shows zero?

No, on a standard system the dynamo will overcharge the battery.
It is worth switching to "Summer" charge as standard, unless you do a lot of driving at night.

Vince had a series of injections into his eye, his eyesight is now back and he is able to drive again, I saw his friend Dave on a DA7C run and he said Vince is very busy doing starters and Dynamos but has stopped doing heavy work and sold his lathe etc,
