I started doing this when I started Austin Sevens at the age of 18. I now have about 15 tubs, trays and tins full of nuts, bolts, set screws and washers, nominally sorted into BSW, BSF, UNC, UNF and ISO Metric.

And I still can't find the one I need...... Undecided

I'm the same. I've been collecting used bolts for a very long time.
I only buy new if there is a specific reason for doing so.
This is especially true on Citroens, where the old bolts have a Citroen logo on the head.
