Hello all I am at present re trimming an RL saloon that has been part of the family for in excess of 60 years, The last 50 off the road. My problem is “should there be any trim in front of the doors, either to the sides with the vents or on the front bulkhead”. To my knowledge there had never been any trim here but it has been suggested that there should be some. All suggestions gratefully received

Mine didn't have any but I fitted some as part of the retrim.

Colin, I think if you look carefully I think you will see that there is a concave section below the vent, which provides much needed space for your foot, so if you do decide to add a piece of trim, best remember that, especially if you have big feet!
