It is only work if something wrong. A s.a can be easily disconnected at the link; if not the problem need proceed no further.
Driving without is interesting; the roll can be truly impressive.

Have you checked the rear hub. Check that the Rear Hub that contains the Bearings is not Cracked where it meets the Shoulder that has the
Wheel Studs.

Hi Ruairidh, Further to my original thread on this problem, I just thought, I would say that I took your tip
and stripped the rear shocker. What did I find? One of the discs had broken completely in two.
Aftercleaning and fitting new friction and brass discs the creaking disappeared completely.
I still have a slight KNOCK when hitting a pot hole. Any ideas on that one. ?

I had creaks and knocking noises until I replaced the worn out spring pins and bushes.

Also check the torque tube socket (or bracket). If the hollow bolt on the bottom is not tight enough the bracket jumps up and down and make a knocking noise over bumps!
