Outdoor car cover for Nippy
#1
I have to keep my Nippy outside on the drive for the foreseeable future. Recommendations for best value car covers please.

This question comes up about once a week at the moment....
My stock answer is a 2m x 3m poly tunnel - on eBay you should be able to find one for £60-80.
If going down this route you need to fix it to the ground very securely!
The cover will typically last a couple of years before it needs replacing.

Hi.
I drove an Austin 7 special throughout my 3 years as a student which lived outside all the time. It was kept under a piece of tarpaulin which was tied to the bottom of the wheels and seemed to do the job pretty well. It was a cheap and practical fix which negated the need for secure fixing to the ground.
Hope that may help a little?
Best wishes,
Nick

I’ve been more than happy with a Smart Car cover, when the car isn’t in the garage. I know mine’s a box saloon, but I could see it fitting a Nippy.

In my experience any kind of tarp in contact with the body will scuff the paintwork. More so if there's any trace of grit between them.

If you do a 'Folding Garage' search on Google there are some useful possibilities.

Don't give me ideas. How about having yet another A7 - but this time parked on the trailer and covered with a fold-up garage? This is how AI thinks it might look.

Same question was on Facebook this week as well.

Check your insurance, most will state that the car is not covered when not in the garage and on your property.
