Peak above screen

PL 3534 is definitely an RL, not a Mulliner - you can see the waist-line moulding on the scuttle and door.

I don't believe the production RL had any significant peak, despite the apparent signs of one in the brochure illustration; I published this David Howe photo in 2022C with the comment that it shows a/the prototype with several features not seen on the production body:

When the new model was featured in The Autocar in June there is no peak evident:

While many mid-1930 saloons are shown with plain bonnet sides, we still await a contemporary picture of the open version, the AF so fitted. The first AFs had the louvres in two separate depressions (like mine), but later ones had them in a single depression. The 'double-depression' versions are rare, so this feature must have lasted only a short time. Good work for the press-tool makers though - as there were also two different bonnet lengths. I agree with Mike, the 'peak' looks more like an aftermarket framed glass sunshade. The car must have been driven through an accessory shop, and one of everything A7 related stuck.

Further to my post on the recently re-surfaced RL, here is a side view if it helps. No peak.
Note the rear half-bumper!
