hi all, What is the easiest dimension to check on a bare chassis to determine if it is short or long wheelbase?

The Archive holds engineering drawings for the various chassis, so a look there would be a good place to start. As an example...

Quickest way is to count the holes behind the handbrake fixing. 9 is a long chassis:

Just noticed, very late chassis with rod brakes - and therefore a modified handbrake mounting bracket - has eight holes.
(The front one of the nine on the LWB chassis is missing.) |
