Has anybody had any dealings with Compbrake of Billinge Wigan? I'm thinking of having a new tank made by them.

what material are you considering? I was wondering from their past adverts i.e that there must be a few out there now to give feedback.
I've been happy with the operation of the new ethanol-resistant sealants but I'd like to know whether there is a simple sheet material which does resist the increasing doses of E.

I had a couple of petrol tanks made in aluminium by SM Engineering in Wales, both to my drawings and spec, the finished items were very well made and not at all expensive.
One was the square section scuttle tank and the otherĀ (invisible beneath the firewall) was tapered in two planes with a boss for a VDO gauge. I can recommend his work. (Or, I could make you a steel one) |
