Hi Tony, yes much prefer a new head to new brake drums, much more fun and you can see the head easier than brake drums.
Anyway a lot on here seem to like there cars in ropey condition.

sorry nick, ill have to let you down on girling drums.
i have spoken on here about pattern costs before.
for £1,000 you get a pattern box that will cast 2 drums at a time. it makes the cost of each casting cheaper at £48 each. but the main thing is, is you get a good quality casting.
i have some 6 inch cast iron drums here that were made by pressing them into sand. or if you like useing the part as a pattern. but quality is then the problem. if i get a chance, ill put a picture up.
thanks tony.

They're pre-Girling, Mark. I think Tony said he had new ones in stock.

Tony,
Sorry to harp on the same string... Is it the pattern or the box into which the pattern is packed that costs so much? Is the same box not used for the pre girling drums?
If it is the pattern...
