Just done a quick warm-up, not really hot, and report 105, 95, 100 and 105. I expect when properly set up and run hot, these figures will improve, so thanks again everyone.

If it's any consolation John I work in the motor industry; troubleshooting is one of the more interesting aspects of my job, but the first step is always a string of meetings aimed at reconciling the differences between the things people have thought, said and assumed and the things that actually happened! And these are mostly professional engineers...
